1. What is CIMB Preferred?
CIMB Preferred is the priority banking service from CIMB Bank, a rewarding and sophisticated banking relationship which offers a one-stop personalised service to privileged customers across the region.
 
2. How can I apply for CIMB Preferred?
To enjoy the privileges of CIMB Preferred, you have to establish a banking relationship with us, worth a minimum of S$250,000 in deposits, investment and/or insurance.
We may also extend invitation, at our discretion, to selected customers based on other qualifying criteria.
 
3. I have both a single and joint account with the bank. Will the net worth of the joint account be considered to qualify for CIMB Preferred?
The total net worth of both accounts will be combined to qualify for the membership.
 
4. Can foreigners apply for membership of CIMB Preferred?
Yes, we welcome applications from foreigners who meet the minimum qualifying criteria.
 
5. Are there fees charged to be a CIMB Preferred customer?
As a privileged customer, you will not be required to pay any fee to enjoy the full benefits of CIMB Preferred.
 
6. What are the privileges I can receive from CIMB Preferred?
As a CIMB Preferred customer, you will enjoy the same recognition and privileges at all CIMB Preferred centres located in Southeast Asia. You can also expect a host of lifestyle benefits, all specially tailored to offer you rewarding experiences across the region. In addition, you will be recognised as the founding member of CIMB Preferred if your application is approved before 31 December 2009.
 
7. What are the extra benefits do founding members receive?
In addition to the benefits you enjoy as a CIMB Preferred member, you will receive even more privileges that are exclusive to the founding members.
 
8. What other priority banking services can CIMB Preferred offer?
At CIMB Preferred, we go the extra mile to deliver service of high standards. You will receive dedicated attention from a qualified team, comprising of a Relationship Manager and a Relationship Officer, who attends to your banking needs and work with you to achieve your financial goals. To ensure you enjoy every visit to CIMB Preferred Centres, you will receive priority banking service and have your banking needs attended to in a private and comfortable environment.
 
9. How will I be identified as a CIMB Preferred member?
All CIMB Preferred members will be issued a CIMB Preferred Recognition Card.
 
10. Where is CIMB Preferred branch located?
CIMB Preferred branch is located at 50 Raffles Place #01-01 Singapore Land Tower. You can also visit our CIMB Branch located at 8 Wilkie Road #01-09/10 Wilkie Edge for basic banking needs.  
 
11. Can I carry out banking transactions at CIMB branches located outside Singapore?
CIMB Preferred offers you cross-border banking convenience no matter where you are in this region. Regardless of the type of transaction you require, the local banking officers or Relationship Managers will do their utmost best to assist you. To understand you better, they will verify your membership with the CIMB Bank in your domicile country.
 
12. Who will attend to my banking needs if I visit a CIMB branch that does not have a CIMB Preferred Centre?
Just present your CIMB Preferred recognition card and our Customer Service Manager or Customer Service Officer located at the respective branch will assist you promptly. Alternatively, you can also arrange a meeting with your Relationship Manager at the branch, or at your preferred time and venue.
 
13. Will there be more CIMB Preferred Centre in Singapore?
Yes, we will be expanding to meet the growing demand of our customers.
 
14. Is the CIMB Preferred Recognition Card transferable to a 3rd party?
The Recognition Card is not transferable to a 3rd party. However, we value banking relationships with all our customers and we will be glad to extend the membership to your joint account holder when you nominate him/her for CIMB Preferred.
