From 8th October 2010, CIMB Bank will bring you enhanced level of security for your online transactions on your Credit Card. An Authentication code will be sent to you via SMS will be required before approval of online transactions.

This enhanced security feature applies to websites that support "3-D Secure" authentication protocols such as "Verified by VISA" (VBV) and "SecureCode" (Mastercard)

The Authentication Code is a single-use, random PIN that will be sent to you via SMS whenever you transact online at 3-D enabled merchants.

With this additional measure in place, it will prevent unauthorised access to your Credit Card account as well as online fraud.

We have made SMS the delivery mode of the Authentication Code for your convenience. Therefore, it is important that you keep us updated on your mobile phone number.
